I am a campaigner, who has worked in the private, public and charitable sectors.

I also happen to be a massive geek, fascinated by everything from maps, mobile and data to augmented reality and social networking.

I temper this obsession by actually using this technology to enact (dare I say Enable?) real world changes for those I am campaigning for and with.

I am a libertarian at heart, who believes that technology can play a crucial role in trying to balance the relationship between citizens and the state.

Loves – kayaking, family, girlfriend, live music

Current peeves – the digital economy bill, parking costs, my inability to start training for the triathlon I want to sign up for (pathetic I know, haven’t even signed up yet!)

What I will be blogging about – the intersection of technology and campaigns and how tech can support real world change on the ground.

  • The SAS wouldn’t put up with this….

Patrick Olszowski is fed up with his over-crowded commute to work; can he use guerilla digital campaigning tactics to get the train operator to listen up?

  • To the digital barricades

We all love and rely on the web. The amount of information it holds, the opportunities it provides. The connections it allows us to make with people around the world. Life without the web in the UK is seriously disenfranchising. Hence the appointment of a Digital Inclusion Tsar, to get more people from lower socio-economic backgrounds online.

What a great read – even if it was only a dream (was it?), it makes for an inspirational story on how tech can aid our political power as consumers (or in this case, travellers), and above all, get stuff done,

Nice write up. I’ll definitely be sharing this.
