Ben's received comments

  • Hey Ben, just signed up to this site and yours was the first article I read. And I love it!

You’re absolutely right and have hit the nail on the head with this. I just wish all the social media presentations at conferences and the like started with something like this. Then maybe more people would get it!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Is your Mum looking for a bit of consultancy work?
Surely there must be other good, solid Mum-mantras that translate well to social media? My Mum always used to tell me off for shouting from one room to another – “if you want to tell me something, come and find me first” she would say. Well, that works for engaging people on their terms, in environments that they feel comfortable in. I think this could run and run…

  • I’ve seen these features a lot latelyand am glad someone has commented on it. Facebook certainly seem to have their sights set on social online dominance outside of their website.

As long as Facebook don’t turn evil then I believe it is a good thing to have a constant awareness of our network’s activity, a good thing for organisations anyway. Maybe not as individuals.

  • It looks like they’re having some real success with this:

“This evening Facebook posted an update to the official Facebook Page stating that over 50,000 websites have already added the Like button and/or other social plugins since they first launched last week. It’s a significant milestone for one week as it has taken years to reach hundreds of thousands of applications.”
